Gregory Oakes, MBA, is a global life sciences executive with nearly 30 years of experience providing strategic leadership and long-range vision. Currently President, North America & Executive Vice President at Vifor Pharma, Mr. Oakes brings insight from many prior roles, including Corporate Vice President & General Manager at the Celgene Corporation (acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb) and Head of Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals at Novartis Group. In addition to his role at Defender, he serves on the board of directors at AzurRx Biopharma (now First Wave BioPharma) and BioNJ.
Mr. Oakes holds an MBA from Clemson University and a BS in marketing and business administration from Edinboro University.
